This first scan is of a postcard from around 1900. You can see shoes hanging outside a shop on the right of the street. I still wear shoes bought from that shop to do gardening! Most of those building are still there and the sweet shop I still use. I parked my car outside where the shoe shop used to be a couple of weeks ago! Look carefully at the next picture and you can actually spot flared trousers! lol Some of you older "Brummies" may remember Snow hill station and steam trains! More postcards to come and some very old ones too! I have cards from around the world - just haven't scanned many yet!
I've added a few more old postcards from around 1900 - these are sort after for inclusion in local history books. I will scan more more - and do some from other countries and around Britain. All these postcards were scanned with my new HP photosmart C3180 - on special offer at Amazon ( I won a £5 voucher - that helped too).

The laws of supply and demand mean postcards in good condition are always sort after - especially collections. There are far more postcard collectors in the world than any other kind of collector!
